A repulsor beam was a focused energy beam created by a repulsor beam generator. When focused through a repulsor beam projector, the resultant repulsorfield shell was used by the Verpine to prevent collisions between their colony asteroids and space debris. When two repulsorfield shells came into contact, they ricocheted harmless away from each other.
