Sector Protocols

Sector Protocols were rules used within the Galactic Empire's Imperial Security Bureau as part of its Code of Conduct. It included the partition of ISB Supervisor jurisdiction between groups of sectors. In 5 BBY, Supervisor Dedra Meero came into conflict with these protocols when a stolen Imperial N-S9 Starpath Unit from one of her sectors appeared in the Free Trade sector, which was overseen by Supervisor Blevin. Blevin refused to allow Meero to access files on the incident where the Starpath Unit was found, Major Lio Partagaz taking his side. However, following the Aldhani heist, new powers were given to the ISB by the Imperial Emergency Act that Meero used to make a Multi-Sector Data Blend. Blevin argued in an ISB Board meeting that this had broken the Sector Protocols, but Meero was able to successfully convince Partagaz to hand the jurisdiction of the Free Trade Sector to her from Blevin.
