Sleeper Agent

A Sleeper Agent also known as a sleeper operative, was a type of spy that operated undercover for long periods of time to complete an objective. They could be an sentient organic being or droid. A mission could require an agent to remain embedded for months or even years. This required extreme dedication and the ability to mislead those around them convincingly and maintain a cover of lies to hide their true identity. Sleep Agents often worked mundane jobs that had nothing to do with the person or object of their mission. Rarely, agents would work in government or military agencies as those positions involved much more scrutiny and background checks. Some Sleeper Agents operated without knowledge of their true objective or actions due to brainwashing or reprogramming.
