Socialism

Socialism was a socio-economic ideal of embracing codependence, relying on compassion, community, and cooperation amongst individuals in a society to place the collective good above individual interests. Under the socialist demarchic rule of the Tayan League, the Gran homeworld and agriworld Kinyen boasted low unemployment rates and a high gross domestic product. Poverty was nearly nonexistent, and the planet's overall health and happiness was one of the highest in the galaxy.

The Kinyen government held exclusive authority over contracted work in the semi-privatized shipping industry, and Saeduree River Shipping was given exclusive shipping rights for food exports in much of the continent that contained the Kinyen city of Capra. Most other sectors of business were nationalized, including food production and construction. The government had specific quotas for the amount of food needed per year, necessitating families and farmhands of the Ayanee Farming Cluster to work together in producing silvergrass.
