Sycorax's son

A witch named Sycorax lived with her son on the planet Necropolis many years before the Battle of Yavin. Sycorax claimed to have the power to resurrect the dead, but the people of Necropolis did not believe her, so they killed her son and told her to resurrect him to prove that she could raise the dead. However, Sycorax could not resurrect her son, and she then died of a broken heart. Before she died, she warned the people of Necropolis that terrible things would happen if they did not respect the dead. She was the buried with her son in a tomb known as the Crypt of the Ancients on Necropolis. Many years later, the people of Necropolis viewed Sycorax as a sacred figure and believed that terrible things would happen if the dead were not respected and honored as she had warned before her death.
