Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.
Tactical droids were class four droids designed to serve as combat consultants, boasting advanced combat-analysis software to help them determine exactly when and where to attack for the greatest effect. Originally known as the CDE-T unit, the T-series tactical droid was a model of tactical droid manufactured by Baktoid Combat Automata to provide the Separatist Droid Army with tactical leadership during the Clone Wars. This standard tactical droid was replaced by the super tactical droid later in the conflict, which improved upon the shortcomings of the former.
