The Negs

The Negs were a region of space that included the westernmost parts of the Core Worlds, the Colonies and the Mid Rim; as these areas lay west of the galactic coordinates (with Coruscant marking zero), they were assigned a negative first digit.

The region was west of the Northern Dependencies, and bordered to the Unknown Regions; further exploration was prevented by hyperspace anomalies and no hyperlanes could be scouted. It contained the Farlax sector.

Highlighted with their negative east-west coordinate number, these planets were perpetually viewed as second-class, even those within the Core Worlds.
