A tractor anchorline was a form of modern technology sometimes used in suspending cities.
Upon arriving at the Wookiee city of Rwookrrorro during the Thrawn campaign in 9 ABY, Leia Organa Solo was surprised to learn that Wookiee villages were not suspended by repulsorlift, unipods, tractor anchorlines or any other clever schemes of modern technology, but by the sheer strength or wroshyr tree branches.
