Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.
Centuries before the 22 BBY outbreak of the Clone Wars, a corporation sent an exploration vessel into the Unknown Regions. The starship located the O'reen system and the inhabitable planet O'reen. The scouts aboard the vessel attempted to claim O'reen for their employer through a display of technological know-how, but the native species, the O'reenians, fought them off and stole their starship. The confrontation convinced the Magnus, or planetary leader, to modernize O'reen's military.
