A Voiceprint was a type of biometric identifier based on an individual's voice. Voiceprints were used both for personal identification and as a security measure for controlling access to restricted locations.

In 9 ABY during the Thrawn campaign, C-3PO had his voiceprint modified to match that of Leia Organa Solo in an effort to deter Grand Admiral Thrawn's spies.
