Dr. Xita was an eccentric hyperspace engineer who tried to flee a battle on an experimental spacecraft. A group of beings tried to pursue Xita, eventually boarding Xita's ship. However, the experimental hyperdrive was activated and was damaged in the process, stranding them deep in the Unknown Regions. Xita eventually became ill with a sickness caused by exposure to the experimental hyperdrive, but was eventually cured.
