The Aparian Wastes was a rocky area on the Outer Rim Territories planet Serenno. Just before the Clone Wars, the Spike, a vast underground prison, was constructed there by the Confederacy of Independent Systems to hold highly valuable prisoners that Count Dooku wanted to interrogate himself. Another prison with a similar purpose was located below Castle Serenno on the same planet.
