Desix City was located on the planet Desix, which seceded to the Confederacy of Independent Systems prior to the Clone Wars. When the Galactic Empire was founded, it did not recognize the planet as independent or the rule of its governor, Tawni Ames. As such, a new governor was installed for Desix. When Imperial governor Grotton arrived to supervise the planet, Ames and her Separatist holdout took Governor Grotton and his TK troopers hostage. A squad under Clone Commander CC-2224 "Cody" eliminated Ames and rescued Grotton, paving the way for an Imperial occupation of the world.
