Namenthe's Crater

Namenthe's Crater was a crater in the Starship Graveyard area of Goazon Badlands on the desert planet Jakku. Located near the Kelvin Ravine, the crater was formed as a result of the scavenger Namenthe salvaging proton bombs from a TIE bomber found among the wreckages in the graveyard, which dated back to the Battle of Jakku in 5 ABY. Two of the bombs smacked against one another too hard while Namenthe was transporting them in a speeder across the graveyard, causing an explosion that killed Namenthe and created the crater.

By 34 ABY, the scavenger Rey mentioned the crater's origin in a survival guide that she compiled. The crater was also listed as an "interesting locale" in a planetary capsule of data on Jakku that Resistance pilot Poe Dameron included in his flight log following the Battle of Starkiller Base in 34 ABY.
