The Kelvin Ravine was a canyon located on the desert planet Jakku of the Western Reaches. It contained at least one settlement, Tuanul, which was sacked in 34 ABY by the First Order. The desert sands north of the Kelvin Ravine were loose and crashed starships could sink quickly. The remains of the Imperial Dreadnought-class heavy cruiser Explorator of Commodore Visler Aqorian Korda III lay there after it had crashed there during the Battle of Jakku.
