Sector Central Utility Records building

The Sector Central Utility Records building, or short SCUR building, was a building belonging to Sector Central Utility Records located in Kristom—twenty-six kilometers away from the city center—on the Colonies planet Giju. The archive itself had been initiated in 374 BBY and contained records on individuals living in the Sern sector independently from the Galactic Empire. The building was in the shape of two gray cubes with reflective black windows on one side and yellow plants crawling up the other and a parking space for speeders and a deactivated fountain at the front outside. The first department was in the entrance room. It had translucent sliding doors and inside were rows of seats and a counter with ten stations. Customers had to take tickets with their numbers at a small kiosk in a back corner and to wait until they were called. Other departments were upstairs. During the Imperial Era, the first department was staffed by sentient clerks and droids repurposed by the Confederacy of Independent Systems.

In 10 BBY, the BX-series droid commando ND-5 visited the SCUR building to access information about different individuals named Madel Nureth to find the one his owner Jaylen Vrax was looking for. Inside instead of waiting, Nd-5 convinced the repurposed Confederacy droids G3-R44 and R0-E0 to help him obtain the records.
