A sentry tower, also known as a watchtower, was a pod elevated by a repulsorlift platform or mounted on a physical stalk on which a sentry was stationed to keep vigil for any approaching dangers. The Confederacy of Independent Systems used several watchtowers in the planet Onderon's capital city of Iziz during the Clone Wars, and the Alliance to Restore the Republic constructed several such towers for use by Rebel sentries at the Massassi Site on Yavin 4. Decades later, the Resistance placed a watchtower on their base in the Ancient ruins near Black Spire Outpost on Batuu.
