Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

Canon Linked from 360 articles

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is a themed land developed by The Walt Disney Company. It is set in an outpost on the planet Batuu. Until 2022, the events portrayed there took place only between the films The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker. Since 2022, characters from other times are portrayed as well. John Williams composed new music for Galaxy's Edge.

It opened in phases in parks in the United States, with all of the land except for the Rise of the Resistance attraction opened on May 31, 2019 at Disneyland, and on August 29, 2019 at Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World. Rise of the Resistance opened December 5, 2019 at the latter, and January 17, 2020 at the former. A smaller version of the land was originally set to announced for Walt Disney Studios Park (which will become known as Disney Adventure World) in Disneyland Paris Resort, but it was cancelled to make way for a new Lion King-themed land.

On January 14, 2026, Disneyland Resort announced that, beginning on April 29 of that year, Galaxy's Edge would be expanded and redesigned to also include plot elements and characters from the timeframe around the Original trilogy and The Mandalorian including the Galactic Empire and the Rebellion, next to the original timeframe set three decades later.
