A relay station operated by the Resistance was located close to space controlled by the First Order. During a mission to recruit allies for the Resistance, Jessika Pava sent a transmission to the relay station, which forwarded it onto General Leia Organa, who was aboard the Millennium Falcon with the remainder of the Resistance. Before the message could be fully transmitted, the relay station ceased to operate, and was believed to have been discovered and destroyed by the First Order.
