The western district was located within the city of Chaleydonia, the capital of the planet Christophsis. In 22 BBY, during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and Separatist Alliance, Republic forces commanded by Jedi Generals Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi were met with minimal resistance in their capture of the district and its town square during the engagements on the planet. It occurred as a result of Separatist General Whorm Loathsom's droid army's large abandonment of Chaleydonia for the eastern exurbs.
