Archais was a celestial body located in the Archais system. It was situated in the Interior Region, an area of the Hapes Cluster in the Slice portion of the Inner Rim. Archais lay on the Gallinore Reach hyperspace route, which connected it to the Lalmy'ash and Selab systems, and featured seas on its surface.
By the time of the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance, Archais was said to be the site of very tall mythical mountain peaks. At one point by 2 ABY, a number of Alliance Special Forces units engaged a faction of the Assassin's Guild, backed by an Imperial force led by Lieutenant Colonel Freja Covell, in a battle throughout Archais' eastern seas, including at the Tylerin Embankment.
