Ather was a manufacturing world located in the Ather system, a part of the Atravis sector in the Western Reaches portion of the Outer Rim Territories. The distance between Ather and the Tamarin sector's Dravian Starport could be traversed in two days using a starship equipped with a Class 1 hyperdrive.
During the Galactic Civil War, the Dravian Starport–based shipping company Nar Shaddaa Shipping offered free-traders a job of transporting fifty tons of datapad circuit boards to Ather for 3,500 credits.
