Atraken was a terrestrial planet in the Atraken system in the Rolion sector of the Outer Rim Territories. Rich with natural mineral resources, both the Confederacy of Independent Systems and Galactic Republic wanted control over Atraken during the Clone Wars, which was waged between 22 and 19 BBY. During the conflict, there was an attack on Atraken at some point after the Battle of Abrion Bridge. Although the battle was ultimately a Republic victory, the planet was rendered inhospitable and millions died.
