Baraboo was a planet in the Core Worlds, along the Hydian Way. This world was the site of the Institute for Sentient Studies, which contained the most comprehensive collection of neurological models in the galaxy. From this world came a species of aquatic beings known as the biomold.
Some 12 years after the Battle of Endor, the cyborg Lobot accessed the institute's records, searching for a clue to decipher a puzzle aboard the mysterious ghost ship called the Teljkon Vagabond.
