Chandrakant was the smaller of the two moons of the Core Worlds planet Chandrila. Like the rest of the Bormea sector's Chandrila system, it was located on the Perlemian Trade Route, which served as a dividing line between the Northern Dependencies and Arrowhead portions of the Core Worlds.
The moon, which was only a fraction of the size of its fellow moon Chandra, was covered in amber-colored gases that reflected a dull, golden light and were toxic to most species. Chandrakant's name meant "counterpoint" in the Chandrilan language.
