Charis

Charis was a planet in the system of the same name on the Trition Trade Route in the Kathol sector of the Outer Rim Territories. An important industrial base for the sector, the population of the planet staged an uprising against the local Imperial warlord—Moff Kentor Sarne—and his forces in 4 ABY. Sarne's forces assaulted the world, laying waste to many of the major cities and reducing the planetary population from one billion to 850 million. Following the disintegration of Sarne's authority in the sector with the New Republic's liberation of the sector capital Kal'Shebbol in 8 ABY, the population of Charis prepared to stage a second uprising to free their world.
