Choah Belt
Canon Legends version → Linked from 6 articles
The Choah Belt was an asteroid field located in the Mortex sector's Choah system in the Outer Rim Territories region. It was situated in grid square S-5 of the Standard Galactic Grid.
During the Galactic Civil War, the forces of the Rebel Alliance established a fuel refinery among the asteroids. Around 0 ABY, shortly after the Battle of Yavin, the Galactic Empire discovered the refinery and destroyed it in a battle, causing critical fuel shortages among rebel forces throughout the sector. Sometime after the battle, the Rebellion stole the Empire's Field Secured Container Vessel Black Ice refueling ship in order to compensate the refinery's loss.
