Gholondreine-β was a terrestrial planet of the Expansion Region. The native inhabitants of Gholondreine-ẞ were known for their scholars and philosophers, who held that all sentient beings owed their highest loyalty to truth. The world had strong ties to the Old Republic and, after the proclamation of the Galactic Empire, began issuing urgent critiques of Emperor Palpatine's rule. As punishment, Palpatine ordered all the water to be completely drained from the planet and exported to Coruscant, leaving Gholondreine-β an arid wasteland and forcing most residents to flee the dying world.
