Grange was an agrarian planet located in the Kurost sector of the Mid Rim Territories. It was the homeworld of Galen Erso, who drew the attention of Republic Futures Program scouts in Grange's sector. During the Clone Wars, Grange was a strategically-important world, being well situated for hyperspace jump points to remote sectors. As such, it was besieged by the Confederacy of Independent Systems in 21 BBY.
