Hettsk was an Outer Rim Territories planet located in the Belsmuth sector. In 9 ABY, the confederation of the Galactic Empire's forces led by Grand Admiral Thrawn was victorious over the New Republic in a large-scale battle fought on Hettsk. During the battle, two New Republic pilots were shot down over the planet, and after an Imperial recon team had retrieved them from an area of jungle, the New Republic Katarn Commandos special forces unit rescued the pilots.
