Hinakuu was a terrestrial celestial body located in the Hinakuu system, a part of the Calamari sector in the Slice portion of the Outer Rim Territories. The hyperlane known as the Tidal Circuit connected it to the Krinemonen and Sanctuary systems. Hinakuu was settled by members of the Mon Calamari species of the Calamari system expanding outward from their homeworld, the planet Dac, aboard Mon Calamari starliners between 4400 BBY and 4200 BBY.
