Karoon was an astronomical object in the Karoon system of the Shadola sector, which was part of both the Outer Rim Territories and the Slice. It fell within grid square U-8 of the Standard Galactic Grid. Karoon had further sanctions applied to it by Admiral Soonel of the Galactic Empire in 3 ABY following a new investigation into anti-Imperial activities. These sanctions further limited the access that terrorists and radicals had to fuel according to a HoloNet News broadcast by reporter Dorna Parros.
