Klynan was a terrestrial celestial body located in the Outer Rim Territories and the Slice, within the Klina sector's Klynan system. It was situated in grid square S-13 of the Standard Galactic Grid. Klynan was situated along a hyperspace route that linked it to the Nar Kaaga and Kupoh systems.
Between 385 BBY and 382 BBY, a job that the Evereni Path of the Open Hand member Yana Ro found unpleasant took place on Klynan. Following the job, Ro salvaged a slicer ring from a newer-line astromech droid. In 382 BBY, while undertaking a mission at Port Haileap—an outpost on the Outer Rim planet Haileap—Ro mentally recalled the job on Klynan as she sliced a lock using the slicer ring.
