Noomis Riga was an agricultural world and the homeworld of the Noomis Rigans. During the Clone Wars, a battle was fought between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems occurred on Noomis Riga. The Noomis Rigan, Sim Aloo, took advantage of the situation and falsely informed the Republic his neighbor was a Separatist, which caused the Republic to bomb his farm, allowing Aloo to take over the land.
After the Clone Wars, Aloo had bought himself a position in the Imperial Agriculture Ministry and worked his way up through the ministry's ranks. Later Aloo would sign an order expelling the entire population of his homeworld of Noomis Riga, leaving harvester droids to do the agricultural work instead.
