The ocean moon of Amloch was located in the Amloch system of the Rayter sector in the Outer Rim Territories and the Western Reaches, situated in grid square J-19 of the Standard Galactic Grid. During the High Republic Era, the moon fell within the Galactic Frontier, a section of the Outer Rim containing locations considered removed far enough from the galaxy's center for the Galactic Republic to send explorers there. In 382 BBY, Jedi Knight Zallah Macri and her Padawan, Kevmo Zink, rescued a team of prospectors from a superstorm on the moon's oceans. After doing so, the pair stayed an additional day, which allowed them to be ready to help Jedi Knight Azlin Rell with a mission on the planet Tiikae.
