Standard day

A standard day, also known as a standard-day, was a unit of time. Like other "standard" time units, standard days were not based on individual planetary rotations, but instead were standardized to the galactic standard calendar, which was based on the local rotation of the galactic capital Coruscant. As such, a standard day was divided into 24 standard hours, and 365 standard days made up a standard year. Noryokon days were much longer than a galactic standard day.

Within a standard week there were five days, which were as follows: Primeday, named after Coruscant's star Coruscant Prime Centaxday named after the planet's primary moon, Centax-1 Taungsday, named after the planet's ancient inhabitants the Taung Zhellday, named after the other Coruscanti species the Zhell Benduday, named after the native Dai Bendu order

Within a day, a specific point in time could be expressed in terms of hours and minutes. In written form, there was no separator between the hours and minutes (e.g. 1630 meaning 16 hours and 30 minutes).

The number of days could also be measured in the number of rotations. On Oba Diah, Marg Krim gave Rafa and Trace Martez one rotation to bring back his missing spice.
