Pii system's first asteroid field

Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.

The Pii system's first asteroid field was located in the Arkanis sector in the Slice portion of the Outer Rim Territories. The asteroid field orbited the Pii sun and lay between Pii II and Pii III, the system's second and third planets, respectively. It had poor mineral content, much like the system's second asteroid field. The inner asteroid field was extensive but smaller, more condensed, and less erratic than the second field. Like the rest of the Pii system, it lay a seven-day hyperspace journey away from the Perlemian Trade Route and along the Old Corellian Run and the Trans Gulf Route hyperlanes.

The asteroid field, along with the rest of the Pii system, was originally located on the super-hyperroute known as the Corellian Run. When that hyperspace route changed its course at some point between around 11,000 BBY and 4000 BBY, and as a result no longer ran through the Pii system, the asteroid field remained on the Old Corellian Run.
