Taspan was the primary star of the Taspan system. During the Battle of Mindor, asteroids and other planetesimals in the system became captured by Taspan's pull. Some of these clusters of rock included gravity stations which upon impact with the star began to emit many flares and stellar tide surges of hard radiation that fried anything in their path. As the disturbances grew larger, the planet of Mindor became torn apart.
