Tunguray was the homeworld of the Tunguray species, who spoke a language of the same name. The world was located in the Brema sector's Tunguray system, which was in the Outer Rim Territories and the Western Reaches. It was situated in grid square M-17 of the Standard Galactic Grid.
By 382 BBY, the planet, according to the Tunguray Cherro, had more volcanos than habitable land. A Republic Pathfinder team that had been charting hyperspace lanes near Sullust, the Outer Rim homeworld of the Sullustans, therefore evacuated the remaining Tunguray via shuttle and gave them refuge on the planet Coruscant.
