Xend

Xend was a terrestrial celestial body located in the Inner Rim's Xend system. It was home to insects as well as the winged xendrite, a type of reptavian that typically hanged from tree branches and hunted insects. The creatures had no natural predators, and their population was instead controlled by that of the available insects.

Eventually, however, winged xendrites were exported to other worlds as a form of insecticide, only for them to overrun their new homes' ecologies. Xend was mentioned in an entry of a holobrochure for the Tagge Holographic Museum of the Core Worlds planet Chandrila dedicated to the creature.
