Benjamin Bratt

Benjamin Bratt is an actor. When Claudia Gray wrote the 2019 novel Master & Apprentice, she imagined Rael Averross as being portrayed by Benjamin Bratt. Bratt later portrayed Bail Prestor Organa, previously portrayed by Jimmy Smits, in the second season of Star Wars: Andor, which premiered in 2025. Smits was unable to return for the series due to his obligations on another project. Series creator Tony Gilroy believed that the character needed to appear within its story. With Smits out of the picture, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy pointed to Bratt as an alternative actor for Organa, which Gilroy thought was "brilliant." Bratt was beloved and energetic on set.
