Stephen Byrne

Stephen Byrne (born March 7, 1986 in Dublin, Ireland) is an Irish illustrator, animator, and comic book artist. In 2021, Byrne illustrated a comic cover for the fourteenth issue of the 2020 Marvel Comics series Star Wars as part of the publisher's Pride Month lineup of Star Wars variant covers.

Bryne's official Pride Month variant cover was announced on March 18, 2021 on StarWars.com. On May 7 of the same year, Byrne's final design was revealed, and it was published on June 16.

The comic cover depicts the smuggler Lando Calrissian with the YT-1300 light freighter the Millennium Falcon flying in space below him. The planet Tatooine is seen behind the Falcon while its twin suns, Tatoo I and Tatoo II, are visible in the background to the right of Calrissian.
