Alderaanian deer

Alderaanian deer were a type of deer native to the Core Worlds planet Alderaan. Between 3 ABY and 4 ABY, as Imperial commander Ellian Zahra confronted Leia Organa, a princess of Alderaan and general in the Rebel Alliance, in a cave on the planet Panisia, she told Organa that she intended to kill her and then dress her corpse gutted and splayed like an Alderaanian deer. The commander also informed the princess that she had left the Wookiee Chewbacca and Pathfinder Kes Dameron alive so that they could discover Organa's corpse and tell the Alliance that she had died like an animal. Zahra was ultimately unsuccessful in her efforts and was instead left for dead by Organa in the cave.
