The Aldereenians were a sentient species of insectoids. They were native to the Aldereen system, located in the Inner Rim Territories. By 8 ABY, they maintained a consulate on the planet Coruscant. The consulate was located almost 200 kilometers from the Alderaanian consulate. On the day of the wedding of the Human couple Han Solo and Leia Organa, their best man, Luke Skywalker, was delivered to the Aldereenian consulate by an errant shuttle driver.
