Argiopid was a sentient species that lived in the galaxy. During the reign of the Galactic Empire, one member of the species was present at the Auction for Han Solo that was hosted by Crimson Dawn, on the planet Jekara. In 34 ABY, the sommelier Derla Pidys was present in the Canto Casino and Racetrack when the Resistance members Finn and Rose Tico traveled to Canto Bight to get the help of the "Master Codebreaker" in order to deactivate the hyperspace tracker device aboard the Supremacy, the flagship of First Order Supreme Leader Snoke, that was allowing the First Order to track the Resistance navy.
