Bonegnawer

Bonegnawers were a type of carnivorous bird of prey that lived on the desert planet Tatooine. Large, airborne creatures, they possessed strong beaks that could crush both rocks and bone. Bonegnawers targeted relatively large prey, and were known for stalking their target before consuming it on the spot. Bonegnawer parents would then bring the prey's bones back to their young at their nest, where they ate and shared the marrow with their offspring. The Flaming Ragerunner insignia seen on Luke Skywalker's personal T-16 skyhopper was likely a stylized bonegnawer.
