Colossus wasps were a type of insect that the human journalist Rhil Dairo considered a horror. During the Battle of Eriadu in 228 BBY, during the High Republic Era, the Galactic Republic Stormwall Defense Fleet was attacked by Nihil scav droids, though due to the illusions created by the Nihil Child of the Storm H'Tar, the fleet believed it was under attack from what they feared most. While the Longbeam Gios came under attack from an illusioned Force-consuming Nameless creature, reports the Gios received stated that colossus wasps were attacking the fleet's ships, which Dairo informed Jedi Master Keeve Trennis of.
