Dagger birds were a type of bird that was native to the planet Eriadu. They were distinct by their pointed blue-black wing pattern, along with their ability to dive into water to spear up fish for food. In 228 BBY, the human Pikka Adren had found the birds to be elegant, believing their ability to dive to be an excellent example of natural engineering.
