Dokma

Dokma were small, timid gastropods native to Atollon. Often preyed upon by the spider-like krykna, they had protective shells and two eyestalks. Garazeb Orrelios nicknamed them "bogans." According to Volt Vescuso, the amount of milk a dokma drank was not to be underestimated.

The dokma are considered timid animals. They are born underwater and lose their first shell after weeks of drinking the mineral-rich underground water until they finally crawl to the surface. Once they have found a suitable spot, they shed their shell and stick to a coral like a barnacle, from which they absorb food and eventually allow a new shell to grow. For further reproduction, dokma look for a suitable partner at another coral formation and bring their offspring into the underground waters, always having to watch out for the krykna.
