The gondar were a species of white-tusked and sweaty pit-boars considered disgusting. Their tusks were used in armor, such as Tantel armor, or as decorations. While using the alias of Tamtel Skreej when rescuing a carbonite frozen Han Solo from Jabba's Palace in 4 ABY, Lando Calrissian was wearing a set of Tantel armor, of which the helmet had curved, white gondar tusks protruding from it. The Chandrillan stormtrooper Triv Pothman compared poor-tasting coffee to the sweat of a gondar while onboard the dreadnaught Eye of Palpatine in 12 ABY.
